The Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council amending amending Directive 2006/116/EC on the term of protection of copyright and certain related rights which will extend protection for sound recordings to 70 years and make associated changes to the law. The nick-name comes from one of the foremost proponents and beneficiaries of the change, the former Harry Webb who changed his name to his long-standing stage name, Cliff Richard, by deed poll in 1980 and was knighted in 1995.
